Climate Change and APA 7th Edition
If you are typing papers in APA Style 7th edition, you might need to include a scientific formula. Say you are writing an essay on climate change. You might want to include the formula for converting carbon into heat by combining carbon and oxygen. Here are some ways that you can express that chemical reaction:

For subscripts, highlight the symbol or number. Click the Home tab in Microsoft Word, click the little down arrow to the right of the word Font, and check the box for subscript.
For the arrow, click Insert, Symbol and find the arrow symbol.
